Electronics Recycling at Earth Day Event

The Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce and the City of Park Ridge have come together to help our planet. Saturday, April 19 marks the return of the Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce's Earth Day Electronic Recycling Day. Recyclable electronics will be collected from 9 am to noon at the Park Ridge Public Works Service Center at 400 Busse Highway in Park Ridge. For the low cost of $5 per vehicle, you can get rid of your unwanted electronics in an Earth friendly way. For your effort, you will also receive a coupon for $5 off any $20 purchase at the Chamber members listed on the coupon.

The event is sponsored by Village Bank and Trust, Maine Township Supervisor Carol A. Teschky, and Maine Township Highway Commissioner Robert Provenzano.

Items that will be accepted for recycling include electronics of all types. Please note that they will not accept hazardous waste, refrigerators, car/acid filled batteries, air conditioners, microwave ovens, washing machines, dryers, fans, or stoves.

For more information contact Mike McGrath at Public Works at 847-318-4243, or the Chamber office by phone at 847-825-3121 or by email at info@ParkRidgeChamber.org.
