Electronics and Textile Recycling and Document Destruction

Maine Township Supervisor Carol A. Teschky and Clerk Gary K. Warner The Electronics and Document Destruction component of this recycling event are sponsored by the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC), City of Park Ridge, and Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce.

To assist the Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce with its community projects and recycling efforts, a $5 donation is requested, for which residents will receive a $5 coupon to use at select businesses on purchases of $20.

Document destruction will be across the street at Avenues for Independence parking lot. Maximum 6 file boxes or paper shopping bags per vehicle. No plastic bags, binders, school materials, or business materials will be accepted. Paper clips and staples do not need to be removed.

The event is sponsored by Village Bank and Trust, Maine Township Supervisor Carol A. Teschky, and Maine Township Highway Commissioner Walter Kazmierczak.

Items that will be accepted for recycling include electronics of all types. Please note that they will not accept: Hazardous waste, refrigerators, car/acid filled batteries, air conditioners, light bulbs, washing machines, dryers, fans, or stoves.
