Kazmierczak Becomes New President of Trustee Division of Township Officials of Cook County
May 27, 2009 — Walter Kazmierczak of Park Ridge, Maine Township Trustee since 2001, is the new President of the Trustees' Division of the Township Officials of Cook County (TOCC). He assumed office last Thursday for a one-year term. Previously, he was TOCC Treasurer for four years."Working with other township officials through TOCC, I have seen first hand how innovation can cut budgets," Kazmierczak says. "Fighting higher taxes requires an open mind and hard work and via my new position I hope to add to the creative process towards serving the taxpayers." In his new position, Kazmierczak also becomes a member of TOCC's Board of Directors.
TOCC represents township's interests in Springfield and in Washington. DC. It is also a resource-center for township government as to what other townships do and how they handle certain functions, programs and problems.
