Maine Township Hires New Code Enforcement Officer

Edward P. Beauvais, Carol Teschky, Robert Prorak November 25, 2009 — Edward P. Beauvais of Des Plaines, left, was hired Tuesday, November 24 by Maine Township to be its new Code Enforcement Officer. Here, he is welcomed by Township Supervisor Carol Teschky as outgoing Officer Robert Prorak looks on. Prorak resigned after several years on the job to pursue a career in business. Beauvais has a Criminal Justice degree from Illinois State University and about 10 years experience in township government mostly with the highway department. He was a seasonal Code Enforcement Officer in 2008. He will work with residents and government officials to resolve community issues and correct code violations.

Maine Township was among the first townships in Illinois to have a full-time Code Enforcement Officer. Prorak was praised by Teschky and other members of the Township Board for his superb service.
