Anger and Addiction
Eventbrite - Anger and Addiction
Friday, October 14, 2016 | 9:00 - 11:00 AM

Working in social services demands knowledge of so many areas of human functioning that it is hard to keep up. Most human problems are related to other problems, and one issue is exacerbated by, or camouflaged by, one or more other issues. The relationship between the emotion of anger and the disease of addiction is a key example of this. The goal of this presentation will be to gain a greater understanding of the interface of both anger and the many forms of addiction. How this interface affects our clients, their families, and society in general will be explored. Areas of research, theory, diagnostics, treatment, and case coordination will be discussed.

This event is free and includes 2.0 free CEUs for social workers, professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, psychologists, and nurses. Continental breakfast will be available from 8:30-9:00 AM. Advance registration is requested.
